We’re back for another weekly podcast of The Rebel Beat! On this edition, it’s our monthly collaboration with the mighty Submedia, who are bringing anarchist video badassery to new levels.
March 15th is coming up, which is the International Day Against Police Brutality. The day was actually started back in 1997 by the Collective Opposed to Police Brutality in Montreal, as well as the Black Flag anarchist group in Switzerland. Since then, it has been an occasion for survivors and families of victims of police brutality, anarchists, anti-capitalists, and other rebels to manifest their resistance to the pigs.
On this edition of the show, we selected some of our favourite anti-cop tunes, and also bring you an interview with Kristian Williams, the author of “Our Enemies in Blue”.
And in other sad news, we pay tribute to Todd Serious, the lead singer of the amazing radical punk band The Rebel Spell, who died in a climbing accident on March 7th. Rest in power, Todd.
We hope you enjoy this week’s podcast, and continue to manifest your rage against the police state, wherever you live.
